I should've finished this long ago, since their profile was one of the most important ones.

After looking at the "completed" version I figure people were going to wonder "where are Peach's parents?" The answer? Monica hasn't design them.

So I figured, I'd give it a try since it was already a family tree anyway.

Besides, I'm not the first to do this.

The inspiration behind both designs?

King George Toadstool: A name that I really just whipped out from my head. (Blame World History) It was either, George or Phillip. XP;; I have a tendency to give baggy clothings. I bogged up on that and now one sleeve is longer than the other....I figure the king should have some Toad characteristics (such as how I do the eyes). I looked at Toadsworth's design, and since he's still Peach's most loyal advisor, I thought maybe he and the king were best friends? :] He's not a pure Toad. I also wanted him to be somewhat short to add variety to this couple, instead of having one stubby husband and a tall wife like Monica's design of Marco and Louise. (It fits them

) Obviously I remembered the King design from the old Mario comics by Valiant too. HIS HAIR COLOR IS YELLOW-BASED! It seems off-color because I darkened to give it an aged, dirty pale blond effect.

Queen Melody Toadstool: I have another horrible tendency to make women frail and delicate looking

, and she probably looks too young for her age. Unlike Daisy who seems to be able to hang around outside Sarasaland, Peach is pretty much the only main monarch of the MK, and I think her parents would've past on if that is the case. The inspiration behind Melody are Lady Marian (Robin Hood), Princess Rosalina, and =Captain-Jamesman's design version of Peach's mom, Princess Passion [link]

I really wanted to give her star characteristics and very bright yellow hair, which would've indicated some connection to Rosalina and her mom. Melody's dress does resemble Rosalina's a bit.

Alas, I simply adored the light orange and red adornments on her hair.

COMMENTARY/COMPLAINTS
Shading took unusually long. Something is really #&(@$* up with my coloring setting. <__< It's making me grind my teeth. I don't like how the BG turned out either.
